RAID is short for Redundant Array of Independent Disk, and it is a technology which can provide higher storage performance and data backup competence than a single hard disk by combining multiple independent hard disks (physical hard disk) in a hard disk group (logical disk) in different ways. RAID has many advantages, such as high-speed, high-capacity, safety, and reliability. Besides, it realizes fault tolerance, and it is an intellectualized disk collection with higher fault tolerance competence, higher security, and higher reliability. As a mass memorizer in the modern network system, RAID is widely used in disk server and becomes an indispensable storage device of the solution of high reliability network system, thereby making network system save data reliably and system run normally.

To promote the safety of system, we must ensure data security first, because every user will store personal data in computer or server. Especially for large enterprise, server data security must be ensured. However, as long as personal computer or server exists on the network, data are in potential safety hazard. Any operating system is not perfect, and it becomes safer after unceasing upgrade. Of course, antivirus program can effectively prevent virus from invading operating system to damage file, but operating system and antivirus program can not ensure data security. On the network, hacker brings more serious influence. Nowadays, hackers do not fear how safe our system or server is or how powerful the functions of antivirus program are, because they can bypass our multiple defense and enter personal computer or server directly to damage data or even system, which may make personal computer or server unable to run normally. If the server of a large enterprise is unable to run, this enterprise will bear heavy losses and serious damage.

If the operating system is damaged, we can reinstall an operating system to solve the problem. However, can we install damaged data after data damage happens? It is of course not. Certainly, backing up data ahead of time is an effective solution to protecting data, because we can use the backup to restore original data after original data are damaged. Nevertheless, it is difficult to accomplish server data backup successfully since server stores a large number of data. Therefore, we had better use MiniTool Partition Wizard to back up server data. No matter how many data are stored on server, we also can use this partition manager to back up server partition or back up the whole server disk, saving a large amount of time and ensuring data security effectively. After running this partition manager, we will see the following interface:

This is the main interface of this partition manager. Here, select the partition needing to be backed up. Then, click "Copy" button on the tool bar to enter the next interface:

Next, select one unallocated space and click "Next" button.

Then, we can resize the partition used to store data backup by dragging the right triangle in this interface. Next, click "Finish" to go back to the main interface:

In the main interface, we can see a partition without drive letter, and this partition stores data backup. At last, we need to click "Apply" to perform needed operations. After that, we are successful to back up data.
